About

Steven “Scott” McClure, Hanate, Raven-Sockeye Clan. My wife Sheila and I have raised five children
My grandmother Mary Cesar (Kinats’oow Loodagoox) and her Aunt Jennie Marks. Her son was Austin Hammond. He was the house leader of Raven House in Haines.
My son Ian has completed his Master’s in Business Administration. Our corporation encouraged and supported Ian, who received scholarships, worked as a summer intern and completed three years as a Business Analyst in the Executive Training Program at Goldbelt. I strongly support these programs for our shareholders as a path to career development and to executive positions within Goldbelt. I further support funding of vocational training and apprenticeships.
Seated at left, my mother Amelia Cesar McClure, with my grandmother Mary and aunt Marilyn. Standing are my uncles Kermit, Del, Niles, and Ken. I am inspired by the contributions made to Goldbelt by my family and tribal relations, especially my late uncles Del and Niles Cesar who both served as directors and officers of the corporation. With your support, I will honor their legacy by helping Goldbelt become the pride of Alaska Native Corporations.
Since 2004 I’ve worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory near Los Angeles. I currently serve as Radiation Control Manager of the Europa Clipper Mission. NASA’s Europa Clipper is expected to launch around 2023. Besides my day job I am a consultant to Aerospace, Telecommunications, Semiconductor companies as an industry recognized expert in my field.
